Trash or Treasure: DMX ft Machine Gun Kelly “I Don’t Dance”

DMX is back and ready to attack the rap game with his new song “I Don’t Dance” featuring Machine Gun Kelly (aka MGX). Now, DMX has had his share with the law and addictions, but it seems he is ready to get everybody hype once again. “The Dog” is soon to release his sixth studio album Undisputed on March 27, 2012, and may feature Busta Rhymes, Tyrese and even Jennifer Hudson. However, this song to me is a little too Pop-ish for DMX. We are use to the hype, enthusiastic, serious music, complemented by his aggressive and raspy voice like on songs “Lose my Mind” or the serious but meaningful songs like “Slippin” (one of my favorites). But, it seems like DMX is slipping (no pun intended) right in mainstream music like most artists are doing these days.

Now, I’m not saying that I hate the song, but I can’t say I love it. The beat and overall sound is just not his style, and he can do way better. This song will definitely not be around for years to come like his songs I mentioned earlier, that are still hot today. However, we want to know what you all think of this song, is it Trash or Treasure??
