2011 NBA Playoff Update

I remember in my previous NBA playoff blog I stated that it wouldn't be easy for any team in the first round of the playoffs. Once the regular season's over the team records and player statistics don't matter as much. The post-season is about having heart and the determination to win a 7 game series. So far the playoffs have been very competitive and entertaining in both the Eastern and Western conference. As we all know this is the time of year in the season where you either "Win or Go Home". Take a look at the teams that were sent home packing, the teams that are still fighting to advance, and the 2nd round match ups already set to take place.
Eastern Conference
Boston Celtics won series against NY Knicks ( 4-1): Boston will face Miami Heat who defeated the 76ers (4-1)
Chicago Bulls won series against Indiana Pacers (4-1) will face the winner of Orlando Magic vs Atlanta Hawks series ( ATL leads Magic (3-2)
Western Conference
OKC( won series 4-1 against Denver Nuggets) will face winner of San Antonio vs Memphis Grizzlies series ( Memphis leads series 3-2)
Lakers vs. Hornets ( LA leads series 3-2) will face winner of Dallas Mavericks vs Portland Trailblazers series ( Dal leads series 3-2)
The playoffs are just getting started so continue to expect the unexpected from star players and underdog teams!
