#MondayMotivation You Are What You Attract!!
"What's going on in people's lives is going on in people's lives because it's what's going on in people's minds."
I don't remember where I read that quote or who said it but whether you believe it or not, it's true. Have you ever heard the phrase, "You are what you attract?" Are you familiar with the Law of Attraction?
It's known as one of the laws of the universe or universal truths, which means it's unconditionally applicable. The Law of Attraction states that everything and everyone is comprised of energy and vibrates or operates on a certain frequency level. The frequency you vibrate on will determine what you experience aka how your life operates. I was first introduced to this concept about six years ago and I didn't fully grasp it until about a year ago. But now that I experienced it, that's all the evidence I need. I'm sure people will debate this truth with arguments like, "Well I didn't attract living check to check in my life," or "There is no way I attracted this toxic relationship in my life?" Well, actually you did.
We need seemingly unfavorable circumstances forced upon us sometime because we're hard headed and that's the only way we learn. At least that's how I am. I am a very extreme person and I had to experience things at their worst before I could learn from them. We need challenges so we can overcome them. If life was just easy peasy mac and cheesy all the time, what would there be to learn?
If you're faced with a negative person or situation, there is something, usually some kind of suppressed emotion or thought, within you that needs to be worked through and expressed. This is why relationships are good for us. They show you your insecurities, your faults, and your beliefs, the things we need to improve on in order to grow. When a relationship doesn't work out it's usually because one or both people were unwilling to face and work through their emotions, their pain. And by work through I mean honestly assessing, saying this is how I feel and why and then going from there, also known as growing.
Whatever you are going through in your life, whether good or bad, remind yourself that this is the life you chose. If you don't like your choices, change them. My biggest mistake when first trying to grasp this law was forgetting to act. AttrACTion. I thought that as long as I think happy, happy things would come. Thinking is where it starts. You must take action. As much as I'd like a million dollars to fall out of the sky and into my lap just because I think I want to be millionaire, it's not going to happen. I have to put myself in the position for it to happen. I have to find a way to raise my frequency so that it matches that million dollars that's out there for me. This is what wakes me up in the morning. It's like a scavenger hunt. I wake up thinking, "What new thing can I do to bring me that much closer to my dreams today?" Before you complain about the actions of another, make sure you aren't really complaining about yourself. Usually if you aren't complaining about yourself, you'll see no need to complain. I could go on about this subject all day, so feel free to comment. Change your life tomorrow by changing your thoughts today.
Thank you to all my loyal readers, you are definitely appreciated and I need your help. A friend of mine, @Vandalyzm on twitter, created a project. It's called #TheLift. We're challenging you to perform one random act of kindness or work one miracle for someone a week. And we want to hear about it! Send us your story or if you can, take a picture. You can either email your story to WeAllCanLift@gmail.com or if your blog savvy submit it here. We are looking to shed light on the positive things we are doing because good people do exist. The cost of giving is receiving. Remember, you are what you attract.
